Brad Barre

Brad Barré is the Manager of FDL Fund Management. Mr. Barré is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Shreveport with a B.S. in Business Administration and has been involved in real estate investing and brokerage for 15 years. Mr. Barré is the founder and owner of Shreveport Bossier Realty, Barré Ventures, SBR Fund, and other real estate holding companies. Mr. Barré has developed a rich knowledge of real estate transactions, creative financing strategies, construction, development, and asset management. Mr. Barré currently brokers multiple companies that manage over 2000 units in multiple states and manages over $150 million of assets.

In 2016 Mr. Barré was one of the founding partners of Black Cypress Development and has been instrumental in the development of micro hospitals, construction and syndication of medical buildings, and asset management of hospital systems. Mr. Barré was nominated into the “40 under 40” top business professionals by the Young Professionals Network of Shreveport/Bossier. He is the husband of Lauren Barré and dad to daughter Chloe.


Garrett McKenna

Garrett T. McKenna is a partner in KWM. Mr. McKenna is an entrepreneurial investment banking professional with over 15 years of experience in capital raising, structured finance, M&A and business development with a focus in commercial real estate, healthcare and technology.

Mr. McKenna is a Founding Partner of TGA Advisors, which focuses on originations and capital raising for clients in the commercial real estate and healthcare investment banking sector.

Mr. McKenna is also a Founding Partner of The Kentros Group. The Kentros Group is an investment banking partnership that focuses on small and micro-cap companies in order to raise capital, both debt and equity structuring, in order to grow sales, enhance business development, restructure balance sheets, and optimize asset receivables and inventory. In his role with The Kentros Group, Mr. McKenna worked extensively with various funds in structuring investments.
Mr. McKenna was also previously a founder of High Tor Capital and worked for J.P. Morgan Chase, where he built corporate affinity programs and strategic ventures with other banking and corporate institutional clients.


James Redpath

Mr. Redpath is a Managing Director of Cypress Associates and focuses on clients in the healthcare industry. He has worked as a mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance professional since 1990. Mr. Redpath has been engaged in over 75 transactions totaling over $30 billion in value and has a varied transaction experience, including sell-side representation, buy-side advisory transactions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, restructurings, leveraged buyouts and fairness opinions. Mr. Redpath has also advised clients in private equity, public equity and debt financings.

Prior to joining Cypress Associates, Mr. Redpath was Head of Corporate Finance for Ziegler Capital Markets. Prior to Ziegler, Mr. Redpath was Managing Director and Co-Head of Friedman, Billings, Ramsey & Co. Inc.’s Healthcare Investment Banking Group. Prior to FBR, Mr. Redpath managed the North American Healthcare M&A business at Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc. Prior to Deutsche Bank, he spent over six years as a senior healthcare M&A professional at Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated and at Wasserstein Perella & Co. Incorporated. Mr. Redpath began his career at Kidder, Peabody & Co. Incorporated after graduating from business school in 1990. Mr. Redpath’s healthcare services sector focus includes Healthcare Information Technology, Health Insurance, Provider Outsourcing, Pharmaceutical Outsourcing, Alternate Site and Outpatient Providers, Physician Group Management, Hospitals and Senior Living Facilities, Payor Outsourcing and Specialty Managed Care, and Specialty Pharmacy/Distribution. In addition to healthcare services, Mr. Redpath has experience in healthcare products sectors including medical technology, large cap and specialty pharmaceuticals, and early- stage life sciences.

Mr. Redpath graduated with a B.A. degree in Economics, Magna Cum Laude, from Colgate University and received his M.B.A. with an emphasis in Finance from Harvard Business School. He holds Series 7, 24 and 63 securities licenses.


Woodus K. Humphrey, Jr.

Woodus K Humphrey, Jr. is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University with a B.S. in Political Science and a Minor in History. He is a Real Estate Broker and co-founder of Pinnacle Realty Group, LLC (“Pinnacle Realty”) and Black Cypress Development. Mr. Humphrey is married to Cherie Brock Humphrey and together they have four children: Ashley, Lindsey, Catherine, and Kellum.

Since 1992 Mr. Humphrey has been involved in the real estate business as a commercial agent for a large firm in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was the co-founder of Pinnacle Realty, which has focused mainly on the retail side of the business with an emphasis on leasing and sales of commercial retail and restaurant space. Over the last 20+ years Mr. Humphrey has focused on development and acquisition of mainly triple-net properties in the mid-South. He has engaged in ground up development for many national companies, such as Family Dollar, Dollar General, O'Reilly Auto Parts, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Goodwill, and Eckerd Drugs.


Jason Foster

Jason Foster is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Shreveport with B.S. degrees in Accounting and Finance. He completed his graduate work at Oxford University and holds a PhD from Durham University. He worked for Ernst & Young LLP in the areas of financial consulting, state and local tax, and real estate valuations and with a Dallas-based hedge fund before joining Shreveport Bossier Realty. Dr. Foster specializes in asset valuation, business development, corporate strategy, and client relations. In 2016, Dr. Foster was one of the founding partners of Black Cypress Development.

Dr. Foster has served as an Adjunct Professor at Louisiana State University in Shreveport teaching in the areas of Philosophy and Ethics. He is married to Ashley Foster and dad to six daughters: Addison, Savannah, Camille, Gabrielle, Saxony, and Mary Katherine.


Larry Crane

Larry Crane is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University with a B.S. in Marketing. He is a Real Estate Broker and co-founder of Pinnacle Realty and Black Cypress Development. Mr. Crane is married to Donna Bailey Crane and they have three children - Lauren, Lindsey, and Landon.

Mr. Crane has been active in the real estate industry since 1990. He began as a commercial agent where he focused on all aspects of commercial real estate with an emphasis on industrial and warehouse space. Mr. Crane has been a main principle involved in the development and acquisition of many regional and national properties and syndicated development projects in the Southeast. Mr. Crane also has a working knowledge of oil and gas production sales, mineral lease acquisitions, and service company operations.


Kevin M. Sweeney

Kevin Sweeney is a Managing Director at Cypress Associates. Mr. Sweeney has been an investment banker for over 20 years, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, valuations, expert witness services and capital-raising. His clients include hedge funds, private equity firms and private and public companies. Mr. Sweeney has worked for companies in a variety of industries including business services, industrial and manufacturing, consumer products and services, technology, and media and entertainment. Mr. Sweeney is a Co-Founder and the firm’s Chief Operating Officer.

Prior to Cypress, Mr. Sweeney was Chief Operating Officer at Ylos, an internet software start-up focused on providing e-commerce applications. Prior to Ylos, Mr. Sweeney was an Executive Director at CIBC Oppenheimer and its predecessor, Oppenheimer & Co., Inc (together “Oppenheimer”). Mr. Sweeney joined Oppenheimer’s Corporate Finance department in 1994, where he was also Co-Head of the Leveraged Transactions Group. At Oppenheimer, Mr. Sweeney worked on fairness opinions, mergers and acquisitions, and financings for a wide variety of clients.

Before joining Oppenheimer, Mr. Sweeney was a Managing Director in the Capital Markets Group at Credit Lyonnais Securities (USA) Inc., where he was primarily responsible for the firm’s emerging markets capital market activities. In this capacity Mr. Sweeney helped value and price initial public offerings of equity and bond offerings. Mr. Sweeney began his career at JP Morgan Chase where he served as VP and General Manager in several Latin American markets.

Mr. Sweeney received his B. S. Degree in Finance from Ohio State University. Mr. Sweeney is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.


John S. Tolmie

John Tolmie is a Managing Director at Cypress Associates. Mr. Tolmie has been an investment banker since 1995, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and bankruptcies. At Cypress, Mr. Tolmie has worked with a number of healthcare clients, including Cedar Oaks Wellness, Vector Oncology, Medispend, Austin Emergency Centers, three urology groups (including the largest groups in Indianapolis and Columbus, Ohio), Just Care and ChemRx.

Mr. Tolmie has also worked for companies in a number of other industries including, among others, media/entertainment, manufacturing, consumer products, retailing, restaurants, oil and gas pipelines and propane distribution, power, insurance, real estate, aerospace/defense, paper, technology, telecommunications, and food and beverage. Mr. Tolmie’s Cypress clients have included InterActive Corp., Heritage Propane, DuPont, ConAgra, AT&T Wireless, HealthSouth, Leonard Green & Partners, the New York Common Pension Fund, MasterCard, Onex and the Special Committees of the Boards of Gart Sports and the Aristotle Corporation.

Mr. Tolmie joined Cypress Associates at its founding in 2001 following his employment at (“Outpurchase”) where he was Vice President in charge of Corporate Development. At OutPurchase, Mr. Tolmie was heavily involved in the capital raising process and development of strategic relationships.

Prior to OutPurchase, Mr. Tolmie was an Associate in the investment banking group of Furman Selz LLC where he focused primarily on mergers and acquisitions and financial sponsor coverage in a wide range of industries, including media and entertainment, insurance and industrial manufacturing.

Mr. Tolmie received his B.A. Cum Laude from Harvard College.


Edward Wade

Edward Wade is a partner in KWM. Mr. Wade has over 18 years of experience in commercial real estate throughout the US and UK. During this time Mr. Wade has been a part of all aspects of the real estate industry from an appraiser to structuring debt and equity for his clients. He has originated and facilitated the closing of over $2 billion of commercial real estate loans.

As a Partner with R3 Funding, Mr. Wade acted as a correspondent for several Wall Street and national lenders providing commercial mortgage debt products to the mortgage broker and borrower community. The debt products consist of CMBS, DUS, Freddie Mac, HUD, HUD Healthcare and Insurance companies.

Mr. Wade has also worked as Associate Director of Financial Services for NGKF. He provided all aspects of Financial Services while his role focused on complex commercial real estate transactions across all major sectors.
